This is a small temple of enormous importance, since, within its walls, it preserves all the history of the city. The Church of the Saviour has vestiges of all the civilisations that have passed through Toledo: late Roman, Visigoth, Muslim and Christian remains. In addition, it is located in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Toledo, so there is no better example than the Church of El Salvador to show us the coexistence of cultures in ancient times. On the other hand, this oratory was well known in the past for being the place of baptism of famous historical figures such as Queen Juana I of Castile or the famous writer Fernando de Rojas. Today, great works of universal literature such as "El Lazarillo de Tormes" still remind us of its great value.
