In the number eight of this street we can find the House of the Mouse Pérez, a magical place for children and not-so-children where we can contemplate how this legendary character lives, whose mission is to collect the fallen teeth of children and give them a gift in exchange. The story of this rodent was written by Father Luis Colona at the request of Queen María Cristina at the end of the 19th century. In this tale dedicated to Prince Bubi, future King Alfonso XIII, it is told how the mouse lived inside a box of cookies at the Prast Confectionery, located in this same place, and he used to travel through the pipes of the city to reach all the houses where there were children who had lost a tooth to exchange it for a coin.
