INTRODUCTION
Toledo, known as the "City of the Three Cultures", is the living symbol of the historical coexistence between Christians, Muslims and Jews. For centuries, these three communities left their mark on the city, creating a unique cultural and artistic legacy that is breathed in every corner today.
This route will take you through the most emblematic places that reflect this cultural richness. We will start with the majestic Primate Cathedral, which represents the influence of Christianity in the city. We will continue to the Synagogue of Tránsito and the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, testimonies of the deep Jewish footprint in Toledo. We cannot miss the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz, a vestige of the Muslim era that transports us to the splendour of Al-Andalus.
Walking through the narrow streets of the Old Town, a World Heritage Site, you will discover how these cultures not only shared the same space, but also exchanged knowledge and traditions. During the Middle Ages, Toledo was a beacon of knowledge, thanks to its famous School of Translators, where works from all over the world were recovered and transmitted.
