The Royal College of Noble Maidens, founded in 1551 by Cardinal Silíceo, welcomed young women without resources to educate them and prepare them for marriage, even providing them with a dowry.

The building, expanded and renovated over time, includes a church with Renaissance and Baroque elements, where the founder's tomb stands out.
