We are facing a building that was designed by the famous Italian architect Francesco de Sabatini, author of the Puerta de Alcalá among other constructions, during the years 1761 and 1769 under the mandate of Carlos III. For its execution, he was inspired by the Italian palaces of the Renaissance as we can see in its layout around three courtyards, its base composed of rusticated ashlars, the succession of windows alternating between triangular and quadrangular shapes, the balcony and the upper balustrade. Today, this building is the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance.
