THE PRADO MUSEUM AND MOYANO HILL. Moyano Hill.

Descripción

We are in a strategic location to begin this visit and discover all the illustrated reforms of the Bourbon period, the Cuesta de Moyano, a street named after the minister Claudio Moyano, whose statue we can see in the square. This minister published the First Law of Public Instruction in Spain in 1855, which established compulsory and free primary education up to the age of 9, managing to reduce the illiteracy rate in our country and paving the way for the right to equal education. Today, this slope is famous for hosting the city's book market, a bohemian place where we can find all kinds of literature at very affordable prices.
